Council Oak Investors Acquires Above Board Manufacturing
Austin, Texas based Council Oak Investors, LLC announced today that it has acquired Hutto, Texas based Above Board Holdings, Inc., parent company of Above Board Manufacturing. Above Board Manufacturing designs and produces ergonomic, heavy duty workbenches and worktables used in laboratories, clean rooms, factories, warehouses, computer labs, and offices. The company serves an international client base including 80% of the Fortune 500, as well as universities and the government. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The existing management team will continue to operate Above Board, with the addition of Jeff Turk as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Turk will assist President Lewis Talbert in transitioning away from day to day management responsibilities. We are convinced that Council Oak has the liquidity and management capability to lead Above Board into the next major phase of growth." said Mr. Talbert. Mr. Talbert will remain active as an investor in the company.
